I felt like doing something different today, and working on something big. So I stapled a canvas to the wall in my Sabine Street studio and painted this girl smoking whose image I’d found online and sent to John as a joke – because he keeps suggesting it’d be glamorous if I started smoking in Paris. No worries, I’ve absolutely no intention to, but today, as I was listening to Daisy Jones and the Six, the new book by Taylor Jenkins Reid which is all about sex, drugs, and rock and roll, this seemed like a fitting thing to paint. I’m not sure I like it, but at least it was a good workout.
Going Up in Smoke

Do not listen to John!!! (At least not on the subject of smoking). However, smoking girl is very moody and dark. I like it!
He’s joking. There’s no way I’d do that even if he was serious. Glad you like smoking girl. 😉
