Tall Ship Elissa

Today I made this watercolor of the Tall Ship Elissa, one of Galveston’s most elegant historic attractions. It was really cold and I spent most of the day reading Conjure Women, a book I’m transfixed by and which definitely fits with this haunted time of year. During my Facebook Live show my friends and I talked about making soup. I’m trying to tell myself certain aspects of winter are pleasant, but I’m not sold on it yet. Especially winter in Southeast Texas, which is a damp and clammy humid mess.
