Morning in Paris

This painting is inspired by a video one of my MegaFriends sent me today. Y’all know I love painting elderly couples, and love painting people reading newspapers in Paris.

My day was quiet in a good way. I worked on an author interview, paid my sales taxes, and took two very long walks in the neighborhood with my little dog. At some point, after dark, we saw a creature that might have been a cat or a raccoon. I tried to figure out what it was, and saw its eyes glimmering in the dark. Then I saw three different pairs of eyes, smaller but definitely shining in the night. I decided whatever mama creature plus babies were there, they wanted to be left alone, so I walked on.
