I had to run two unexpected errands today – one was the UPS store, which had me in fits of anxiety but ended up being ok. The other was something much more pleasant. And it included a surprise. There in the lobby of a business, where I presented myself properly masked, was a beautiful colorful carousel horse. Of course, I had to take its picture so I could draw it.
My day was sweet and mostly mellow. I can feel the end of the year tiredness creeping in, that feeling where I just want to withdraw from the world, go into hibernation like bear. Also, I keep craving shortbread cookies.
