For years now I’ve wanted to walk onto the Pleasure Pier and see the carousel horses. It’s only open on weekends and there’s usually a line. Today my friend and I got lucky and we finally made it. The horses were definitely worth seeing. In fact, I’ll say this is the nicest carousel I’ve ever seen, prettier even than the ones in Paris.
I think this is the perfect finale to my little island vacation. I do hope to come back soon. And maybe on one of my next trips I’ll see the carousel again too. Maybe I’ll even ride it. It’s two stories high, and one of the creatures on the upper deck is a sea turtle.
