Today I drove to Galveston to take the only three abstract pallet paintings left after my solo show to Mock and More Gallery. It was cool and windy when I got there, but my friend and I still sat outside at Maceo’s. We also still walked around and went to see the pelicans. Soon it got hot. Eating ice cream in summer flavors and shedding off sweaters hot. So we had ice cream. Holly gave us the idea last weekend when she found an ice cream cone someone dropped on the pavement and ate it happily, the tip of the sugar cone poking ever so briefly out of her mouth. Ours were much more sanitary than that, I promise. And we enjoyed them just as much.
