An owl painting obviously needed to happen today. I’ve been thinking about the beautiful creature I saw, talking about it with friends, looking up the symbolism behind it. Apparently owls are messengers. They tell us, among other things, to trust our intuition.
It’s been a bit of a melancholy day, but I got some useful things done, including filing my taxes and bringing stuff to the post office, and I had a nice walk in the neighborhood with my friend.
I painted the owl in the evening, after dinner. I felt better after I painted him, though some of the day’s sadness still lingers.
