Today we invited one of our friends – a successful oil painter, actually – to lunch. We went to one of my favorite places, Mahala, a restaurant with cool decor and wonderful food. We sat outside on a very green patio, and with swallows circling the old palace adjacent, it seemed like something out of a movie.
