Our little Island interlude has begun. Holly and I are comfortably settled in a friend’s charming little cottage, an old house that retains but a few remnants of the original floors and shiplap – but those small vestiges of the past have been lovingly restored.
The air is different here, and though it usually takes a few days, I can already feel myself relaxing. My friend and I walked around trying to figure out some potential trajectories for the tour. I want to show everyone St. Joseph’s Church, but is crossing Broadway on a walking tour too ambitious? We’ll see. I’ll walk the whole thing myself a few times before taking people.
Also, there are several other good things in the works. I won’t reveal too much right now, but there will be some good surprises.
