Today I arrived in Porto and the city has immediately intrigued me and taken my breath away. There is so much beauty and mystery here, and the city combines so many elements I love from my other favorite cities – from the dark alleys of Barcelona, to a strange series of similarities with, of all places, my grandmother’s town in Southern Romania. Also, there are pigeons everywhere and seagulls the size of Boston Terriers. I think I might be in love – with the city, not the seagulls, that is.
