…like the tunnel under Ocean Boulevard
I can’t believe I waited so long to paint Lana del Rey, as I’m absolutely obsessed with both her music and her aesthetic. Also, she’s somehow intertwined with my Miss Vulpe obsession as most of the book promotion images I post to Instagram I tend to set to her music. My whole summer, the soundtrack was Peppers and Mariners Apartment Complex, though I also can’t have enough of Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman Like Me. I think that’s the perfect song for Miss Vulpe!

My other obsession? Also tied to Miss Vulpe: Anna Delvey! I just finished reading My Friend Anna, which was not as compelling as Inventing Anna, the Netflix series, but still a fun read.

Other things I’m really into at the moment? The 4 identity-themed paintings I did a while ago, and playing with them in Canva collages and videos, the cute little cow I painted last week, and the new oyster paintings on a map background by Claire Loft I added to my art collection. Aren’t they just lovely?
