Today was so much fun! I decided to dress up in my makeshift Victorian outfit for my book signing at the Galveston County Museum this morning, and I’m so glad I did, as it added a little something.
The museum is beautiful and is home to many treasures – including the oldest Christmas tree in Galveston. The people who came by were very nice. I enjoyed talking to them, and I sold quite a few books!
In the evening I got to meet my friend’s brother. We all had dinner (including oysters!) and then we all went to Dickens. Not as many people were dressed up as we had hoped, but it was still a fun little adventure, and at some point we happened upon a very talented children’s choir – all in costume!
