Today I cleaned my little house for Airbnb guests who are visiting for Biker Rally. There’s something sweet and satisfying about getting the house ready for guests, but it sure is tiring. And outsourcing this job didn’t really work out for me as planned.
Anyway, there were moments today when I thought that maybe I should keep doing this, hosting, that is. There are things I love about it. But no, it’s just way too hard, and I don’t like putting my personal stuff away and leaving town with my work all packed up, like a snail with its house on its back. So, there! I feel good about getting the house ready, and honoring this next-to-last reservation, but I feel even better about being almost done with hosting.
