Today was the first day of Dickens on the Strand, the Victorian-themed festival held each holiday season in Galveston. In the morning I had a book signing at the Galveston County Museum, which is a very charming venue.
In the evening, my friend and I attended a concert at Saint Joseph’s Church, a beautiful little wooden church dating back from 1859. I have always wanted to go inside, and tonight that dream came through. It was a beautiful full moon night, so after the concert, we walked around quite a bit and had some nice food.
