Beyond the Veneer

New abstract painting today. I took my time with this one and did a lot of layering and scraping.

I took my time with other things today too, or rather I made time. One of my favorite things are long walks in the neighborhood and today I walked for more than two hours with one of my friends who loves longs walks too. We talked about a lot of things. Like the painting, the conversation went beyond the veneer and we talked about experiences that were important to us.

I still managed to do some useful stuff. I sent out my newsletter, went grocery shopping, made a healthy lunch, and kept the dog fed and hydrated. There’s still cleaning to eventually accomplish, not that I’m motivated. Also, during our walk my friend tried to convince me my chaos is creative and kind of fun. I think I’ll embrace that for now.
