I woke up bright and early in my little condo in Houston, finished more of the preparations for tomorrow’s workshop, then headed to the Island. The day was misty but mild. The Island was shrouded in fog. I saw a Roseate Spoonbill in flight as I was approaching the Causeway.
At Blackbird Cottage the blackbirds were whistling. My neighbor was outside and we got to talking. It turned out he had a perfect outdoor table with four chairs and an umbrella for my back patio. Together we moved these items, and then I proceeded to sit out there and work on my snakes. I now have eight snakes and five of them are painted sparkling green. This definitely feels like progress, as does the table outside. I really think my guests will enjoy sitting out there, dining al fresco when the weather is nice.
