I didn’t make anything new today, so here’s a picture of an older horse painting that’s hanging out in my kitchen. I did have a nice day, though, and it was somewhat productive. I walked around the neighborhood, did laundry, added nearly 1,000 words to my current manuscript, made an apple pie and a kale and Italian sausage soup, and made some progress in marketing Breakaway Bridesmaid. I’ve been contacting bookstagrammers and book bloggers to ask if they’d be willing to read and possibly feature the book. Today, one of them wrote back, a bookstagrammer from Texas, actually, which is nice, because this is where most of my readers are. I ordered a book for her, and it’s on its way. This little successful interaction made me happy, so I will keep at it. Marketing can be slow and at times frustrating, but I know I will get more bookstagram influencers to respond. I just have to keep going.
